SilkBridge Terms of Service

These Terms of Service constitute a binding agreement between you and SilkBridge (the "Agreement"). Please read this Agreement carefully before using our services.
A. OUR ROLE
SilkBridge acts as your international sourcing agent. All purchases are made strictly on your instructions, and you remain the legal owner of all goods. We do not manufacture, sell, or provide warranties regarding the quality, authenticity, or suitability of products sourced from third-party sellers. Any guarantees or warranties are provided solely by the original seller.
B. USE OF SERVICE
By using SilkBridge, you represent and warrant that you have full legal capacity and authority to enter into this Agreement. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and SilkBridge policies. Processing times may vary due to the scale of operations. While every effort is made to provide timely service, occasional delays may occur.
C. ORDERS AND PAYMENT
When placing an order through SilkBridge, you acknowledge that the service acts solely on your behalf. You are responsible for all associated costs, including product prices, service fees, shipping, customs duties, taxes, and any other charges.
D. REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
Orders may only be canceled before SilkBridge has purchased the item on your behalf. Service fees are non-refundable once an order has been placed. Refunds for errors in service, such as purchasing the wrong item, are limited to the service fees paid.
E. SHIPPING AND CUSTOMS
Shipping times depend on sellers and carriers, and SilkBridge is not responsible for delays caused by customs, carriers, or other unforeseen events. Customers are fully responsible for all duties, taxes, import regulations, and any customs-related issues. International shipping costs are prepaid based on estimated maximum parcel size, and final charges will be adjusted after carrier confirmation. Parcels exceeding 20kg, oversized dimensions, or containing restricted materials may require additional documentation or fees. SilkBridge will make reasonable efforts to accommodate requested shipping preferences but cannot guarantee full compliance with every requirement.
F. WAREHOUSE STORAGE
Purchased items will be stored free of charge for ninety (90) days from the date of arrival at the warehouse. One extension of thirty (30) days is available for a fee of NZ$10.00, for a maximum storage period of 120 days. Items not shipped internationally by the end of the maximum storage period may be disposed of at the warehouse's discretion.
G. PROHIBITED ITEMS AND USE
SilkBridge will not purchase or ship illegal items, weapons, explosives, counterfeit or intellectual property-infringing products, items prohibited by applicable law, or any other goods deemed prohibited at SilkBridge's discretion. SilkBridge services may not be used to support the design, development, manufacture, or production of nuclear, missile, chemical, biological, or other weapons of mass destruction. Silkbridge reserves the right to immediately terminate any Silk User ID involved in such activities. In the event of any other material violation of these Terms, Silkbridge may terminate the Silk User ID, and all previously purchased goods made on your behalf may be disposed of at the warehouse's discretion.
H. NO WARRANTY AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
You acknowledge that SilkBridge acts solely on your behalf when sourcing products and providing related services, and that you remain the legal purchaser of all goods. You acknowledge that all products and services provided by SilkBridge are provided "as is" and "as available," with all faults. SilkBridge makes no express or implied warranties or representations, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. SilkBridge does not guarantee the quality, authenticity, or timeliness of any products or services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SilkBridge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, loss of data, or business interruption arising from use of SilkBridge services or products. SilkBridge's liability for any claim shall be limited to the service fees paid by you for the relevant transaction. Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits rights that cannot be excluded or limited under New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
I. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved exclusively in New Zealand courts.
